Coming to a close
Wow! What a whirlwind of a semester it's been! So much excitement to share, where do I even begin...
First off, I'm thrilled to announce that my project from last summer at Clemson is going to be published as a conference proceeding for an environmentally focused conference! It's incredibly rewarding to see my hard work pay off, and I can't wait to have a published piece of work out there. This research is truly a passion of mine, and I'm excited to continue exploring it. Plus, I'll be starting at ASU this fall and have reapplied to work under Dr. Paul Westerhoff, who's the co-director for STEPS. He's encouraged me to reach out once I'm officially at ASU since I need to be a student to intern with him. I'm beyond excited for this opportunity to delve deeper into research on phosphorus.
On another note, I recently had the pleasure of presenting that project at the Arizona Nevada Academy of Sciences conference last month, and it was such an exhilarating experience. The turnout was fantastic—almost double from last year—and I even got to stick around to listen to other presentations and keynote speakers, which was seriously awesome.
We've all put in so much hard work this semester, and I'm truly grateful for all the memories made. Here's to looking forward to what the future holds!
In the spirit of perseverance, here's a little inspiration to keep us going:
- "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." — Winston Churchill
- "The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today." — Franklin D. Roosevelt
And now, I'd love to share my research paper with anyone interested. Feel free to check it out and let me know your thoughts! Can't wait to see everyone at the presentations tomorrow. Wishing you all a beautiful rest of the week! 😊
