First Collection

 I collected the first round of traps today! That is always an exciting day. Unfortunately they over watered the native garden and part of it was flooded which flooded one of the traps, but the others seemed like they were going to be OK! I have them freezing now in one of the labs and they will be gone through. They will be kept separate and then I will use a giant magnifying set and tweezers and group the different species and then pin them to get photos. The one bug I noticed when collecting was ants. There were a lot of ants. It made me sad to freeze them. 

Also, I captured this photo when I was driving home...I felt like it represented the sun setting on this beautiful summer we've had. Time for Fall!
